DVD playback software targets embedded Linux devices

The software targets multimedia set-top box (STB) system integrators and suppliers, according to CyberLink, and features high-quality video playback, Dolby Digital, fast forward, backward, pause, change skin, and more.
CyberLink lists the following system requirements for its PowerDVD software:
- 450 MHz Pentium II or above
- Linux 2.3.X or above
- Sound card (OSS)
- Graphic accelerator with SDL and optional XvMC Support
- 32 MB System RAM
- 20 MB Free HDD space
- Processor with MMX Technology support
“Linux is a growing market due to its low-cost, instant, and time-to-market solution nature to OEM customers,” said CyberLink's Alice H. Chang.
