Integrated Software & Devices Corporation (ISDCorp) and LinkUp Systems have announced a port of ISDCorp's Royal Linux embedded Linux distribution to LinkUp's L7200 ARM-based system-on-chip processor family. ISDCorp will also provide customized system integration services, software drivers, and Linux support to LinkUp's OEM customers.

Royal Linux is ISDCorp's port of the Linux kernel to ARM, MIPS, Motorola, and x86 based embedded processors. ISDCorp recently announced the production availability of Royal Linux and the successful port of Linux 2.2.1, with support for manufacturers using ARM-based RISC processors.

The L7200 implements, on a single chip, most of the typical digital functions required within palm-sized PCs, smart phones, PC companions, and other emerging portable applications.
