Embedded Linux Journal announces contest finalists

Aug 9, 2001 — by Rick Lehrbaum — from the LinuxDevices Archive — 1 views

The Embedded Linux Journal has announced that the first round of their “NIC contest” is over, and NIC systems are being sent to the twenty lucky finalists. This second annual design contest is based on projects using the New Internet Computer (NIC) as a platform.

After the twenty finalists receive their NICs, complete their proposed projects, and submit their results (due on February 4, 2002), a winner and two runners-up will be picked. The grand prize winner will receive an all-expenses paid trip to Costa Rica and the two runners-up will each receive a Lego Mindstorms package. Complete contest details are in the May/June 2001 issue of Embedded Linux Journal and contest progress will also be documented in upcoming issues of Embedded Linux Journal.
