Embedded Linux Poll #2 ends soon — Vote now!
Jan 10, 2000 — by Rick Lehrbaum — from the LinuxDevices Archive — viewsLinuxDevices.com, the popular “Embedded Linux Portal”, today announced the second in its Embedded Linux Polls series. The new poll's topic is: “Please describe your embedded Linux application.” Users and prospective users of Linux in embedded applications are encouraged to participate in the poll, located at www.linuxdevices.com/polls.
The current poll asks embedded Linux developers to select a prospective application and answer six questions about it:
- What kind of application is it?
- What CPU do you expect to use?
- What hardware platform do you expect to use?
- What will the operating software load from?
- What peripherals will be in the end system?
- What type of Linux OS will you need?
The poll will continue until January 15th, after which the results will be available online for all to review, at www.linuxdevices.com/polls.
The LinuxDevices.com online Embedded Linux Polls will track developer and user trends and preferences in the hot emerging market for Linux in non-desktop “embedded” system applications. Through these surveys, LinuxDevices.com will measure and characterize current and future preferences and trends of embedded system developers. Like Linux itself, the data collected will be fully and freely available for all to review following the conclusion of each poll.
LinuxDevices.com has also invited companies and developers in the embedded Linux market to submit proposed questions for future Embedded Linux Polls via email, to [email protected].
