Free QNX downloads/CDs top 3 million

In addition, another two million free QNX real-time platform CDs have been distributed with trade magazines worldwide.
The company also reports that developers aren't just downloading the software; they're using it, developing with it, and posting the results. Every day, new applications and tools — including word processors, web servers and browsers, C libraries, tools, games, GUI applications, programming languages, and document viewers — are showing up on fan sites like qnxstart.com, projectbase.codemain.com, and www.qnx-fr.com that have sprung up in the US, Germany, France, and Russia.
About the QNX realtime platform
With the Get QNX program, QNX Software Systems is the only major RTOS vendor to give away their entire technology suite free (for non-commercial use). Anyone, anywhere can download the QNX realtime platform free for evaluation, prototyping, and personal use from the Get QNX web site. The QNX realtime platform includes the QNX Neutrino microkernel, the QNX Photon microGUI v2, QNX micronetworking (Qnet), a GNU toolchain, plus an integrated suite of applications, a web browser, and multimedia players.
