Hard Hat Linux joint venture in China

Ltd. have joined forces to distribute and support MontaVista's Hard Hat Linux in the People's Republic of China. Under terms the agreement, PocketIX will be the distributor of Hard Hat Linux products in China as well as the only approved provider of relevant technical support.
PocketIX is one of only a few “total embedded solution” providers for Internet appliances in the Chinese market. Its embedded Linux product, PocketIX, is an operating system tailored to the needs of manufacturers of Internet appliances and other digital devices (such as set-top boxes, network TV, intelligent mobile phones, Web phones and PDAs).
PocketIX will set up two technical centers in China, one in Guangzhou, and one in Beijing, by next month. At these facilities, PocketIX's engineering team will provide technical support services for both MontaVista's Hard Hat Linux and its own product, PocketIX. The service centers will provide high-quality technical support and professional service for embedded Linux users, including localization and customization of Hard Hat Linux products, product installation, technical training, technical consultation and after-sales service.
