iAnywhere Solutions launches Zaurus app development initiative

(a subsidiary of Sybase, Inc.) and Sharp Electronics Corp. today announced initiatives to fuel development of Java-based mobile enterprise applications. The companies are unveiling special promotions, pricing, and technical information to help their developer communities leverage the iAnywhere Solutions m-Business… platform with the new Zaurus SL-5500 Personal Mobile Tool to create robust, portable, mobile business applications. The companies will showcase their joint solutions at the iAnywhere Solutions booth at this week's Internet World Wireless conference in New York City.

iAnywhere Solutions and Sharp are launching a number of initiatives to help members of their developer communities quickly and easily deploy Java- based mobile enterprise solutions. Highlights include:

  • Membership in the SQL Anywhere Studio Subscription Program for only $99 — the software in this package is valued at over $2,000. As part of this offer, members will receive a development version and periodic software updates of SQL Anywhere Studio, the market-leading mobile data management and synchronization solution.
