Korea Herald: Firm applies Linux to mobile phones

The Korea Herald reports that PalmPalm Technology is developing embedded Linux software for smart phones, enabling users to change the on-screen functions and features. The Herald writes . . .

“Palm Palm Technology said the world's first Linux-embedded mobile phone will make its debut as early as November . . . The company has recently succeeded in developing a Linux operating system, called 'Tynux,' for use in wireless Internet access terminals including cellular phones.”
