Lineo adds driver development tools to Embedix options

Natanya, ISRAEL — (press release excerpt) — Jungo and Lineo have announced a partnership whereby Lineo can add Jungo's cross platform development tools to the options for Embedix. Jungo's WinDriver and GO-HotSwap products are cross platform, therefore potentially lowering the barriers between Linux and major operating systems and thus enabling easy migration to embedded Linux from other OSes.

WinDriver enables developers to quickly create custom device drivers that can run on multiple operating systems without modification. The process does not require any knowledge of the Linux kernel, thus shortening the development time considerably. GO-HotSwap OS Extension provides a cross platform solution for the CompactPCI high-availability market.
