Lineo releases update to Embedix SDK

Salt Lake City, UT — (press release excerpt) — Lineo Inc. today announced a set of enhancements to the Lineo Embedix SDK plus the availability of a 15 MB service pack which existing SDK customers may download. The upgrade includes several new and updated packages and library symlinks to the core Embedix Linux and Embedix SDK tool-chain code.

  • A new update wizard automates installation of new packages and
    enhancements
  • Improved development wizards
  • Better size estimation
  • Updates to the tool which minimizes the effort required to integrate a
    user downloaded kernel with the SDK
  • Support for more types of compressed archives (for package sources) among
    other features
  • The ability to download source archives directly from the Internet during
    the build
  • Support for processing individual build phases
  • Improved deployment scripts
  • Improved installation scripts
