Lineo spins out RTXC technology to OS startup Quadros

[Lineo added RTXC, a proprietary embedded operating system for microprocessors and DSPs, to its product lines through the acquisition of Embedded Power in February, 2001 .]
A.T. Barrett, the original developer of the RTXC technologies, will serve as President of the newly formed Quadros Systems, Inc and the Quadros Systems staff will include several of the original team that has developed, supported, and marketed the current RTXC product line. The RTXC operating system technologies were originally introduced in the commercial embedded systems market in 1985.
Quadros Systems, Inc. has also announced that it has received venture capital funding that will enable the company to fully support the RTXC product line and continue to evolve the technology.
