Lineo turbocharges its sales team

Effective immediately, Larsen assumes responsibility for the company's overall sales strategy to corporate accounts, OEMs, resellers, systems integrators, service providers and end users. Larsen will be part of the company's executive staff and will report directly to company CEO Bryan Sparks.
Lineo today also announced the appointment of John Mezinko as vice president of americas sales and Paul Ray as director of worldwide product sales. Mezinko and Ray join Lineo's current sales team which also includes Hamid Mirab, vice president of sales in Europe, Irrana Huang, vice president of sales in Asia, and David Reeves, director of corporate strategic accounts.

Larsen brings to Lineo more than 22 years of high-tech industry sales experience, most recently spending seven years as sales director with Sun Microsystems. While at Sun, Larsen directed the software sales organization and had responsibility for sales management, business development and strategic accounts. Now with Lineo, Larsen will have responsibilities for managing the company's worldwide sales organization, integrating Lineo's product lines through several channels of distribution and building a successful worldwide sales model.
Mezinko, a veteran of the high tech industry, brings to Lineo nearly 28 years of sales management experience, including sales positions with NCR, Integrated Systems, Inc., and most recently Wind River. While at Wind River, Mezinko was a director of sales and was responsible for the development tools group. Prior to Wind River's acquisition of Integrated Systems, Inc., he was vice president of sales for the development tools division. Mezinko's career background includes sales, sales management and strategic account development. At Lineo, Mezinko will be responsible for building a geographically diverse sales organization and maintaining strong relationships with strategic accounts.
Ray joins Lineo after 19 years of experience in the embedded software market including Integrated Systems (now Wind River), Epilogue Technology, Systems & Software, Green Hills and OASYS. His background has been focused on sales, sales management and business development. His responsibilities at Lineo will include managing the worldwide sales specialist organization, which includes vertical products such as Lineo Availix, high availability clustering software, and Lineo NETtel, a VPN Internet router.
The sales headquarters of the company will be based in Lineo's San Jose, California offices.
