Microsoft to launch Windows XP Embedded

Our friends at Microsoft sent along this note regarding the upcoming availability of Windows XP Embedded . . .

Microsoft will kick-off the launch of Windows XP Embedded at its 2nd Windows Embedded Developers Conference November 28-30 at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Windows XP Embedded is the fully componentized version of the Windows XP operating system for use in smart, feature rich, and connected devices like Windows-based terminals, residential gateways, retail point of sale devices, and advanced set-top boxes. Additionally, the first group of devices based on Windows XP Embedded will be introduced by Microsoft and its Rapid Development Partners.
