Lowell, MA — (press release excerpt) — Mission Critical Linux today announced that it will restructure its business to concentrate on its Convolo family of High Availability software products and will exit the general Linux operating system support and professional services business. The company has secured new financing and will continue to do business as Mission Critical Linux.

As part of the restructuring, the Company will continue development of Convolo NetGuard Edition that provides unparalleled high availability performance for networked clusters. The NetGuard product has won high praise in two independent studies by DH Brown and Intel Corp. as the top fast fail-over product in the Linux market place.

The company will also continue selected custom engineering projects for current and new customers. These projects rely on the Company's expertise with engineering the Linux kernel for use in storage or other embedded operating system environments.
