A new $800 Linux-based wireless webpad will be available direct to consumers next year from Pepper Computer. The “Pepper Pad 2” provides basic digital home computing capabilities, including web browsing, email, IM, writing/editing, games, and multimedia functions. It will also be marketed through broadband providers.
