New Open Source project from IBM developerWorks
Feb 21, 2001 — by LinuxDevices Staff — from the LinuxDevices Archive — viewsA new tool to help predict the performance of Bluetooth wireless hardware technologies is now available for free download from developerWorks, IBM's free, online resource for developers. The new technology, called BlueHoc, is available for free use through IBM's Public License on developerWorks' Open Source Zone.
BlueHoc provides a simulated Bluetooth environment, allowing developers to design and construct applications that will successfully interface with other wireless Bluetooth devices. BlueHoc simulates the baseband and link layers of the Bluetooth specification.
Because BlueHoc is an Open Source project, developers can access the source code and adapt it to their own specific application requirements.
