The OEone platform was developed using the open-source software model, in conjunction with a fixed hardware platform. This approach is intended to overcome compatibility issues that today's desktop computers have in operating efficiently, effectively, and reliably. The OEone operating environment uses the robust and scaleable Linux operating system as its main pillar. Re-engineering the desktop using the Netscape 6 browser technology offers increased functionality supporting all of the standard Internet applications.
