Opera releases version 7.11 of Linux browser

Opera 7.11 for Linux includes several major new features and changes relative to Opera 6 for Linux, including a built-in email/news client which was previously only included in the Windows version of Opera, the… company said.
Besides adding a password manager and email/news client, Opera said the new FastForward, Rewind, Notes, and Slideshow functions of Opera 7 are not only new to Opera but also completely new to the world of browsing.
Additionally, Opera said its cross-platform development capability has advanced to where releases on multiple platforms can now occur within a few days of each other.
A freely downloadable version of Opera 7.11 is available here, which includes a banner ad at the top of each screen. The banner ad can be removed by registering and paying $39 (USD).
