Red Hat showcases Embedded Linux, webcasts keynote

San Francisco, CA; LinuxWorld — (press release excerpt) — On this the 10th anniversary of Linux, Red Hat President and CEO Matthew Szulik will address the power open source software can have on our schools and society in his LinuxWorld keynote titled, “Open Source Now.” This presentation is scheduled for Thursday, August 30, 2001 from 9:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m. PT in Salon 9 of the Marriott San Francisco and will also be available live, online via webcast.

Following Szulik's keynote address, Red Hat representatives will be on hand in the Red Hat booth (#653) on the LinuxWorld Exposition floor. CTO Michael Tiemann will also be on hand to discuss recent initiatives that Red Hat has announced and the company's overall technology focus moving forward.

Also at the Red Hat booth, Red Hat will be showcasing Red Hat Embedded Linux and the latest embedded technology. The Red Hat Embedded Linux demo will feature a new GUI configuration tool, robust tools for building systems on an ARM-based board, remote debugging, and more.
