The Sharp enterprise website's July 2003 “Enterprise Focus” article is a case study of a project at CSX Transportation, a fortune 50 US railroad company. The case study reports on the results of a project to deploy several hundred of Sharp's Zaurus Linux-based PDAs to field forces at CSXT to allow those workers to perform federally mandated tests and inspections. The article is makes interesting reading for anyone involved in making mobile technology decisions — or wanting to read about interesting conquests for the Linux-based Zaurus PDA.
