Sharp Zaurus “DaTa Manager” (PIM data) API specs now online
Jun 20, 2003 — by LinuxDevices Staff — from the LinuxDevices Archive — 1 viewsThe original Sharp Zaurus SL-5500 stored PIM (personal information management) data in an XML format. Developers found this great, because they could get at the data from within their own applications by simply parsing the XML. Now, the new Sharp Zaurus SL-5600 (and ROM 3.10 update for the SL-5500) have replaced the XML format with “DTM” — the DaTa Manager engine. API specifications, modules, header files and documentation on DTM are now online at Sharp's Zaurus Community website.
