Markham, Ontario — (press release excerpt) — Sangoma Technologies Corporation has pioneered an internal Broadband ADSL modem designed specifically for all versions of Linux and FreeBSD. This will enable Open Source server manufacturers to provide integrated Broadband ADSL support for added value to end-users.
The growing use of both Linux and FreeBSD in Internet Server environments created the need for integrated Broadband modem support for these operating systems. Sangoma's S518 ADSL card and WANPIPE software are designed to meet these needs. The S518 card is designed to standards of reliability appropriate to a business server, a much higher level than the typical home-use modems that have up to now been the only option for Linux and FreeBSD. The card will connect to any central office equipment in North America and will provide the same or better performance than the Telco recommended hardware.

WANPIPE ADSL provides automatic self-configuration and Telco-level management and debugging tools. For more information, see this link.
