Tiny module Bluetooth-enables devices
Oct 23, 2002 — by LinuxDevices Staff — from the LinuxDevices Archive — viewsRichardson, TX — (press release) — Cambridge Silicon Radio (CSR) announced today that Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has unveiled an extremely small (.37 x .31 x .07 in.) Bluetooth module incorporating CSR's BlueCore2 chip.
Murata's Blue Module integrates active devices and passive components to provide a compact solution for the wireless market. The full host controller interface (HCI) level unit, designated Blue Module, includes CSR's BlueCore2, Flash memory, band pass filters and other passives contained within the device, an RF and baseband one-chip IC, crystal oscillator and additional passives that are mounted on the substrate.
