UK seminar to demo CAN over GSM, GPRS, IrDA, Bluetooth

Wireless CAN communication via GSM, GPRS, IRDA, and Bluetooth will be demonstrated in a one-day technical seminar for developers of automotive and related systems at the University of Warwick (UK) on March 20.

The day-long event is being sponsored by Hitex and Warwick Control Technologies, and will focus on the latest developments in automotive microcontrollers, in-vehicle networking, autocoding, and the development of reliable real time software.

The event's organizers point out that technologies in the automotive field often migrate into the industry at large, so the seminar may well be a useful window into the future of embedded systems in general.
