“Open's issue #35 examined the pitfalls and promise of embedded Linux. No sooner did [they] post that issue than [they] received a batch of letters either trumping up or trampling upon the embedded Linux market picture. Two particularly detailed responses [came] from two embedded-software insiders: Hank Cohen and Bill Weinberg stand on opposite sides of the issue. Their arguments for and against embedded Linux provide a telling primer of how embedded-software leaders are applying business analysis to work for them and against competitors in a challenging market . . .”
