Volvo bus tracking system built on MontaVista

First Pentium M based Mini-ITX SBC runs Linux

Lippert GmbH introduced what is claimed to be the first Mini-ITX form-factor motherboard to be based on an Intel Pentium M processor. The compact (6.7 x 6.7 in.) Thunderbird SBC supports up to 1GB of onboard SDRAM and runs Linux, the company said. (more…)

Motorola selling its 19% share of Symbian

Nokia, Psion, and Motorola announced the initiation of a transfer of Motorola-owned shares of Symbian Ltd. from Motorola's U.K. subsidiary, Motorola Ltd., to Nokia and Psion plc. Symbian Ltd. develops and licenses the Symbian operating system, which is currently the most popular embedded OS in mobile handsets. (more…)
