Ibase announced an embedded Mini-ITX motherboard that supports AMD's Athlon, Athlon X2, and Sempron processors. The MI952 includes DVI-I, DVI-D, and HDMI video outputs, six 3.5mm jacks for 7:1 surround sound, and a PCI Express x16 expansion slot.
Texas Instruments (TI) announced two Linux-compatible, Cortex A8-based processors that are based on its OMAP35x SoCs, but aimed at the industrial market. The Sitara AM3505 and AM3517 run at 500MHz while using less than one Watt, include 10/100 Ethernet, support DDR2 memory, and offer CAN controllers, according to the company.

ARM Holdings has spun a Cortex processor design for feature phones and other low-cost mobile devices that supplants its ARM926EJ-S and ARM1176JZ-S cores while offering over twice the speed and about twice the power efficiency. Barnes & Noble announced its long-anticipated eBook reading device, which it bills as being the first Android-based e-reader.
