Bluetooth functionality was added to the iPAQ 3850 using Socket Communication's Bluetooth Connection Kit (CompactFlash Type I card). Michael Schmidt writes . . .
“With this connection the iPAQ will have mobile Internet access to surf the web, ftp, check email, and communicate using IM applications supporting AOL and Microsoft's standards . . .”
“Note: This should also work on the Sharp Zaurus or Desktop/Laptop running Linux. There is a more complete Affix Frontend Environment (AFE) for X/GTK+ with additional Bluetooth features.”
