implementing Bluetooth wireless protocols in handheld devices. XTNDAccess Blue SDK 1.2.1 is based on the recently released Bluetooth specification version 1.1. The software implements… Bluetooth wireless protocols for embedded devices such as cellular phones, PDAs, digital cameras, portable office equipment, industrial automation products and more.

XTNDAccess Blue SDK 1.2.1 adds Embedded Linux to its previous operating system support for Windrivers' VxWorks, the leading embedded market real-time operating system (RTOS). This enables original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) using either platform to quickly implement the technology and bring Bluetooth products to market. Version 1.2.1 also adds support for Infineon's Bluemoon radio to its previous support for Ericsson, Silicon Wave, CSR (Cambridge Silicon Radio) and Texas Instruments radio hardware. The CSR module has been enhanced to support BCSP, CSR's proprietary serial transport.

To date, Extended Systems has licensed its Bluetooth embedded protocol software to over 75 industry leaders including Palm, 3Com, Motorola, Hewlett-Packard, Fujitsu, and Mitsubishi for implementation in next-generation products.
