HP taps Debian for Carrier Grade Linux

Linux PDA vendor Empower Technologies has obtained funding through the Canadian stock market, and will launch a new product this Fall. Empower's PDAs are based on Palm-compatible hardware and a customized uClinux OS.
Sharp has announced two hardware/software reference design kits for portable multimedia devices such as handheld video players, digital photo albums, audio jukeboxes, and multimedia toys. However, the kits are not yet available with embedded Linux software.
