Lineo launches ‘anti-FUD’ campaign with license ID tool

In response to recent attacks on Open Source Software from proprietary software vendors, Lineo has announced a new tool which is intended to assist developers in identifying the licenses within system software components. U.S. grants patent for delivery of software as a Web service

McAfee.com today announced that they have been granted a patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office for a method of delivering software as a Web service. LynuxWorks cuts headcount 15 percent

In response to recent rumors of a substantial layoff at Embedded Linux vendor LynuxWorks, LinuxDevices.com contacted the company for comment.
