OnCore announces real-time Linux for PowerPC 405

OnCore Systems has unveiled real-time Linux support for the IBM PowerPC 405 series of system-on-chip microprocessors. The support derives from OnCore's Microkernel Foundation real-time kernel, which can host a standard version of Linux and normal Linux application programs or processes, along with real-time processes. Bluepoint develops embedded Linux for Chinese set-top box

Bluepoint Linux Software Corp. (China) has signed a letter of intent (LOI) to develop an embedded Chinese Linux operating system for a set-top box to be manufactured by Beijing Sun and Sea Data Communication Co Ltd., a subsidiary of Bridge Group. Lineo announces GPL real-time networking for Linux: RTnet

Lineo has announced RTnet, an open source modification to the existing Linux networking subsystem that enables hard real-time networking over standard IP networks.
