Lineo proclaims unity of RTLinux and RTAI — sort of

The newly formed Lineo Industrial Solutions Group today signaled its intention to guide the destiny of the real-time Linux market, by announcing a proposed common API for real-time Linux. The new API is supposed to provide developers the ability to use a common real-time API for development under both RTLinux and RTAI, the two most widely-used distributions of real-time Linux. Lineo receives contract to manufacture router appliance

Vancouver, BC — (press release) — LinuxWizardry Systems has awarded a contract to Lineo, Inc., to manufacture LinuxWizardry's new Apprentice Router incorporating LinuxWizardry's proprietary configuration software known as the “Apprentice Command Center”. uClinux DOES multi-task

PCI intelligent data acquisition boards support Linux

Bellevue, Wash. — (press release) — Microstar Laboratories, Inc., a maker of Data Acquisition Processor boards, today announced a new Linux driver for PCI DAP boards. This support compliments an existing Linux driver for the company's ISA bus products.

AMD and Lineo announce strategic relationship

AMD and Lineo have announced a strategic relationship to provide developers with Linux solutions for Internet appliances and embedded devices. New system-on-chip runs native Java … plus Linux

Imsys (Sweden) used the occasion of JavaOne 2000 in San Francisco to unveil an unusual new system-on-chip microprocessor that supports native on-chip Java bytecode execution — but also runs embedded Linux.
