Chip-to-chip interfaces set to take off

DeviceForge has published a brief “key findings” report from InStat/MDR about chip-to-chip interfaces. The report suggests that HyperTransport, PCI Express, and RapidIO are poised to grow at a 173 percent CAGR (compound annual growth rate) between 2003 to 2008, replacing the PCI interface in a variety of specialized applications.
