The NPWR-DP comes standard with Linux, although Wasabi NetBSD also available. It features two fully independent Intel XScale 80200 processors running at 733MHz, and targets high-performance RAID controllers.
The board measures 5 x 8 inches, and mounting brackets are available for installation in any half-night 5.25-inch drive bay.
Interfaces include:
- Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports via two Cat-5 connectors
- 8 (1.5 Mbs) Serial ATA (SATA) port
- 32/66 Mini PCI socket
- Memory array supports dual SO-DIMM sockets, up to 2 Gigabytes of DDR memory
- 16MB FLASH ROM Disk
“The NPWR-DP is perfect for OEMs who wish to embed a high performance RAID Controller,” claims Team ASA president Mark Murray. “The NPWR-DP gives the user onboard hardware RAID with no degradation in performance across any application.”
Availability
The NPWR-DP is priced at $1,495 in quantities of 100 or more, with dual 733Mhz Intel XScale CPUs, 512MB of DDR SDRAM, dual gigabit Ethernet ports, and eight SATA ports.
