eCos technical reference available for free download
Jun 18, 2004 — by LinuxDevices Staff — from the LinuxDevices Archive — viewsAnthony Massa's Embedded Software Development with eCos is now available for free download. The 340-page technical manual was originally published in Prentice Hall's Professional Technical Reference series. According to Massa, eCos is a great free alternative to Linux for systems where “every byte and millisecond count.”
The book first became available in October, 2002, when Massa wrote a brief introduction to the book for LinuxDevices.com readers. Massa wrote, “It guides you through all of the steps necessary to setup a complete embedded software development environment — all the tools necessary to tackle any project. The examples give you the baseline understanding to begin using eCos in your own projects . . .”
The complete work is available now as a 1.9MB PDF download.
