The East Coast version of CMP's semi-annual embedded developer conference will once again include a track devoted to Linux and open source. Set for Sept. 18-21 in Boston, the Embedded Systems Conference East is co-located this year with conferences on Web development, software development, and RFID.

The Linux track at ESC East comprises nine sessions, including 60-, 90-, and 180-minute classes. Instructors include Robert Day, Michael Anderson, Edmund Walsh, and well-known embedded Linux instructor William Gatliff, pictured above, who chairs the track.

Other tracks at the four-day event likely to interest Linux device developers include automotive technology; debugging, verification, and test; DSP and multimedia programming; hardware design; multi-core; real-time; security; and UML. Other featured presenters include Jack Ganssle, Michael Barr, Dan Saks, Bruce Powel Douglass, Larry Mittag, and David Kalinsky.
