Embedded Linux app development using an Eclipse-based IDE

Jun 24, 2004 — by LinuxDevices Staff — from the LinuxDevices Archive — views

This whitepaper from esteemed Linux author and TimeSys Product Manager William von Hagen discusses embedded Linux application development using Eclipse-based IDEs (integrated development environments). It uses TimeSys's Eclipse-based TimeStorm tools by way of example, but the material presented is largely vendor-neutral.

This whitepaper is the second in a series of whitepapers from von Hagen that began with “Simplifying Embedded Linux Development with Graphical Tools.”

von Hagen also previously contributed a five-part series of vendor-neutral whitepapers on migrating embedded Linux development to the 2.6-series Linux kernel.

TimeSys will sponsor a series of half-hour long Webinars corresponding to the whitepapers in von Hagen's new series.
