Embedded Linux helps remotely inspect a nuclear power plant

During regularly scheduled plant outages, eddy current test data from steam generators at the Pt. Lepreau Nuclear Facility in New Brunswick, Canada was transmitted via the Internet to Snoqualmie, WA, where it was remotely analyzed. SnapGear's embedded Linux based VPN appliances facilitated the secure transmission of data over the Internet.
