Embedded Windows developers get their own community portal
Oct 15, 2002 — by LinuxDevices Staff — from the LinuxDevices Archive — viewsDeviceForge LLC, the company which owns and operates LinuxDevices.com, today launched WindowsForDevices.com, the first independent online technical community and information portal for developers using Microsoft's Windows Embedded operating systems (including Windows CE.NET, Windows XP Embedded, PocketPC, etc.). The new developer-oriented site features technical articles, opinion columns, latest news, product information, job listings, and discussion forums.
Alexander Wolfe, WindowsForDevices.com executive editor and senior analyst, has spent nearly 20 years tracking the industry for publications such as Electronics magazine, Supercomputing Review and Embedded Systems Programming. He has written extensively about both Microsoft and Intel. He was a managing editor and columnist for Electronic Engineering Times, and was also a regular columnist for Byte.com.
