Fanless SBC offers dual gigabit ports

The AR-B5250 ships in versions supporting different Pentium and Celeron CPUs, all of which offer Intel 910GMLE chipsets with GMA900 graphics, and provide dual gigabit Ethernet ports and multiple I/O, says the company.

Targeting general-purpose embedded computing devices with more advanced networking requirements, the new Acrosser SBC design is available in three models that incorporate an Intel Socket 478, compatible with Pentium M and Celeron M processors, says Acrosser. All the designs are equipped with an Intel 910GMLE chipset with Graphics Media Accelerator 900, which together are touted as offering better performance than SBCs equipped with an Intel 85x northbridge. The SBCs also include a SO-DIMM socket for up to 1GB DDR2 SDRAM.
The three models are:
- AR-B5250 — supports Intel Pentium M and Celeron M processors @FSB 400MHz
- AR-B5250CM6C — preinstalled with Celeron M 600MHz
- AR-B5250CM1GZC — preinstalled with Celeron M 1GHz

Each of the AR-B5250-family SBCs provides SATA and CompactFlash slots for storage, as well as dual gigabit Ethernet ports, two USB 2.0 ports, and four more USB connections available via pin headers (see diagram above). Video connectivity is offered by way of a VGA port and dual 18-Bit LVDS interfaces, supporting dual displays. Other I/O includes 8 GPIO and four COM interfaces, and the SBC offers hardware monitoring and a Watchdog timer, says the company.
Acrosser lists the following features and specifications for the AR-B5250 family of SBCs:

While the current models offer optional access to DVI card via a pin header, Acrosser is readying a v2.0 version of the AR-B5250 with a built-in DVI chipset aimed at digital signage applications. The new version will support dual display combinations such as VGA+DVI, says the company.
Availability
The AR-B5250, AR-B5250CM6C, and AR-B5250CM1GZC SBCs are available now, says Acrosser, which did not disclose pricing. No availability date was announced for the v2.0 DVI version. More information on the AR-B5250 family may be found here.
