Jungo ports CPCI hot swap driver infrastructure to Linux
Oct 15, 2004 — by LinuxDevices Staff — from the LinuxDevices Archive — 1 viewsJungo is shipping a newly-ported Linux version of its hot-swap software infrastructure for CompactPCI (CPCI) systems. Go-HotSwap version 6.22 comprises development tools and libraries said to enable developers to create hot-swap aware device drivers for CPCI devices. The product previously shipped for Solaris and Windows.
According to Jungo, Go-HotSwap complies with PICMG 2.1 R2.0 requirements for CompactPCI General Use Full Hot Swap Software. It includes Jungo's WinDriver driver development tool, which the company says simplifies the development of drivers that handle interrupts and I/O at optimal rates.
More details are available in an online manual. A 30-day evaluation version of Go-HotSwap for Linux is also available for download.
