Korean Embedded Linux firm attracts $6M investment

The company has recently developed “Tynux,” an Embedded Linux distribution targeting the requirements of the mobile device market including wireless Internet access terminals and cellular phones.
The new funds will be used to further the company's research and development of its Embedded Linux system software, and for expansion of its business abroad including the United States, Japan, and China. Among PalmPalm's new financial backers is Asia Pacific Partner, a unit of the Kolon Group, which will take a 6.1 percent stake, becoming the largest shareholder.
