Lineo Solutions (Japan) has joined the ARM Connected Community (ACC) and will market its embedded Linux development tools and board support packages (BSPs) to manufacturers that develop products based on ARM cores. The ACC now counts over 250 members.

Lineo recently announced the availability of the Lineo uLinux Consumer Electronics Edition (CE Edition) BSP for the A-plat reference platform by Yokogawa Digital Computer (YDC). The A-plat platform is based on an ARM920T core-based CPU (TPM102).

Akira Kobayashi, executive manager of engineering for Lineo, says, “As a plug-in for Lineo uLinux ELITE, an integrated cross development environment, the A-plat/TPM102 uLinux BSP offers the ideal Linux-based product development platform for the ARM920T core, which is widely accepted and supported for embedded devices.”

Earlier this month, Lineo joined the Consumer Electronics Linux Forum (CELF).
