Lineo offers Real-time Linux development training seminar

Instructors for the real-time Linux course and will include Doug Abbott, MSEE University of California at Berkeley and Steve Papacharalambous, a key developer of the Real Time Application Interface (RTAI). The curriculum will cover a variety of topics including kernel modules, device drivers, RTAI, RTLinux, scheduling and more. Hard real-time refers to the need for a guaranteed response in a matter of milliseconds which is often needed when tracking weather, controlling flight or operating medical equipment such as life support systems.

The Lineo Real-Time Linux Training Course is being offered by Lineo Professional Services which provides worldwide consulting, training and support for embedded Linux engineering expertise. Lineo offers hard real-time technology through the Linux operating system, and recently released Embedix RealTime 3.0 to assist developers in the use of hard real-time technologies. Lineo provides support to developers implementing real-time solutions based on either RTAI or RTLinux.
