Boingo Wireless Inc. has announced a free WiFi software agent for Nokia's Linux-based Internet tablets. The quick-connect agent is said to streamline logins at some 100,000-plus Boingo Mobile hotspots, for users of Nokia's N810 or N800 running Tablet OS 2008.

Boingo says the access agent is available for immediate download for users of the soon-to-be-released N810. It's also available for users of the older N800 model who upgrade to the new OS.

Boingo is offering a free month of WiFi service for Nokia users who download and install Boingo Mobile. The service is normally priced at $8/month.

Boingo, which claims to offer the world's largest network of WiFi hotspots, has released similar software for select Nokia S60 handsets, and for Windows Mobile devices.

The Boingo Mobile download for Tablet OS 2008 is available for download from Boingo's Nokia site, or from Nokia's new OS2008 site. On the latter, the Boingo agent is currently listed as the eighth-most popular download, just ahead of the DeviceScape agent, a similar WiFi login widget that aims to offer automatic, password entry-free logins at a wide variety of public and private hotspot networks, as well as home networks.
