Linux PCMCIA framegrabber drivers released under GPL

Jul 15, 2003 — by LinuxDevices Staff — from the LinuxDevices Archive — 1 views

Linux support for off-the-shelf PCMCIA-based framegrabbers has been sparse to non-existent, so InHand Electronics has created an open source Linux driver and library for the Imperx VCE-B5A01 line of PCMCIA-based framegrabbers to facilitate the development of embedded and handheld devices with real-time video support. The new Linux framegrabber software (including full source code) is available for download from InHand's open source page. The company said the software has been tested both on InHand's ARM-based Elf platforms and on standard Pentium-based notebook computers. The software is released under the GNU GPL.
