Santa Clara, CA — (press release excerpt) — Netergy Microelectronics, Inc., a manufacturer of Voice-over-Packet (VoP) processors, today announced availability of its MEGACO (ITU H.248) call signaling protocol stack for embedded Voice-over-Internet-Protocol (VoIP) applications. The MEGACO call signaling protocol stack expands the existing H.323v2, MGCP, and SIP product offerings. In addition, Linux-based versions of all these protocol stacks have been developed and are available for immediate delivery.

The MEGACO signaling protocol is incorporated within Netergy's Veracity software suite available on the Audacity-T2 and Audacity-T2U VoP based platforms. Netergy continues to offer a comprehensive software suite that is easily portable to various platforms and operating systems, offering flexibility for both CPE and CO applications. In addition, these stacks have proven interoperability with various end-points and call managers and are designed for efficient use of memory, making them ideal for embedded IP telephony platforms.
