LinuxQuestions has started a weekly support contest using Affero's platform for patronage. Each week, experts who inspire the most donations, as well as their top patrons, can choose from a list of prizes, including boxed Red Hat 8.0, boxed Mandrake 9.0/8.2, and signed copies of Richard Stallman's latest book Free Software, Free Society. The experts pick the beneficiaries to recieve the financial gifts. Beneficiary orgs already include FSF, EFF, ASF, GNOME, KDE, Greanpeace, K12LTSP, PDPC, PHP, XFree86 and others.
