LinuxWorld announces Open Source product awards

IDG World Expo presented the Open Source Product Excellence Awards in conjunction with the UniForum Association. The awards recognize Open Source product and service innovations offered by LinuxWorld exhibitors, which include some of the world's leading ISVs, OEMs, service providers and developers.
The following products were recognized in an award ceremony on the LinuxWorld show floor:
- Best Developer Tools — Computer Associates: AllFusion Harvest Change Manager
- Best Security Solution — Cylant: CylantSecure 2.0
- Best Network/Server Application — IBM: WebSphere Commerce 5.4
- Best Storage Solution — Computer Associates: BrightStor Enterprise Backup
- Best Embedded Solution — Trolltech: Qt/Embedded
- Best Open Source Project — Hewlett Packard: Open SSI
- Best Desktop Office Solution — Codeweavers: CrossOver Office
- Best System Integration Solution — Computer Associates: CleverPath Portal
- Best Productivity Application — Eon: eQueue
- Best of Show — Borland: Kylix
The next LinuxWorld Conference & Expo will take place January 21-24, 2003 at New York City's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
